Overused phrases that should be banned from the English language
Posted by Sue on August 10th, 2006- Let’s touch base
- Truth be told
- With that said (frequently used by reallity show contestants when someone’s getting voted off the island or kicked out of the house)
- At the end of the day (which if I’m not mistaken came out of the very first season of The Apprentice although I cannot be sure of it’s origination)
- You’ll be glad you did (I think every local commercial contains this little gem of a statement)
Let’s keep this list going. I’ve only scratched the surface.

I have a few I could add to that:
Garbage in, Garbage out (yeah, no kidding)
Whatever (but only when it comes out of your child’s mouth)
Let’s form a workgroup to fix that problem (isn’t “workgroup” an oxymoron?)
